THE MOLOPO KALAHARI LODGE

The Molopo Kalahari Lodge is a wonderfully equipped facility consisting of:

* 10 en suite rondavels
* 10 en suite chalet rooms
* 4 upmarket apartments fitted with sleeperwood furniture
* a reception lodge with gourmet restaurant
* a lively bar
* a parlor
* 5 Star accommodation at budget prices!

* The lodge is also in the process of building a tent camp, consisting of 6 luxury tents with their own bathrooms.

* there is a full camping facility with ablution block
* a large thatched-roof lapa for open air parties or conferences
* and an outdoor bar by the pool.

For a private braai (barbeque) we offer a Masai-style boma enclosure.

You will not see the numbers and varieties of animals that you will find in Kruger, but you will never feel cheated after experiencing the beauty of the land. You will find wildebeest, hartebeest, warthog, duiker, springbok, gemsbok, eland, kudu, impala, to name a few. And you will find predators such as lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena (brown and spotted), caracal, African wildcat (this cute little kitty may look like a house cat, but don't pet it!). You will find the rare wild dog, bat-eared fox and cape fox, honey badger, suricate, mongoose, and you will find the jackal.
Even in the busiest times of the year, the Kalahari is never crowded! There are quite simply not enough beds in the region and the only traffic jam that you will run into is when three vehicles stop along the road to view a lion pride. The Molopo Kalahari Lodge is the largest fully-equipped facility in the area, with the Twee Rivieren Rest Camp the next in size.
